Mixing and matching clothes is something that really excites me. I love the challenge of it and it's always satisfying to be able to pair up certain items and accessories and have it end up looking good. I realized that I have been posting minimalist ensembles as of late, so now I'm spicing it up a bit and put my mixing and matching skills to the test.
I have always been one who enjoys combining different colors and prints. It all started with my obsession with the first season of Gossip Girl (Blair Waldorf and her posse and their bold, colorful outfits!), then progressed when I started idolizing Camille Co who, at the time, was always wearing clothes with a lot of various prints and hues.
For today's OOTD, I took inspiration from CL, a Korean fashion icon and music artist. She is the queen when it comes to high-fashion ensembles that still exude a street and grunge vibe, which was exactly the kind of look I was going for.
Fashion tip: If you want to wear print on print, the patterns don't necessarily have to look like a perfect match. There's a certain beauty and rebellion in avant garde concepts and combining things that most people wouldn't, like this checkered blazer and leopard boots. However, to make up for this, choose colors that complement one another well, such as red and blue. This gives your overall ensemble a sense of cohesiveness.
