OOTD: "Make Them Suffer"
Today I'm wearing this "Klux" t-shirt from local streetwear brand Rise Of Brutality. What I like about independent labels is that their designs are not only unique, but they're only produced in limited quantities as well. I don't know about you but I personally don't like it too much when I'm wearing something that everyone else is.
Rise Of Brutality's designs are not only cool and edgy, but they're also quite rare, making them more desirable while their stocks are still available.
This summer I've decided to feature some of my favorite Manila-based independent brands. It's not just their products that appeal to me -- I also find the stories behind the creation of their brands incredibly interesting! Not to mention, inspiring.
Take Rise Of Brutality, for instance. It was started by someone who used to work as a mere reseller of t-shirts, until he decided one day to take it upon himself to start his own business. For the full story of his entrepreneurial journey, stay tuned for my next blog post in which I interview the creator of the brand and give you all a more in-depth and behind-the-scenes look of what it's really like starting your own brand.
